Justin Bieber is a Phony But it's Not Altogether His Fault

-->

America yearned for a new Michael Jackson.  So, the music industry believed that it could  manufacture the  facsimile of a young musical genius, adequate enough to fool the public. However, music fans booed Justin Bieber at the Billboard Awards ceremony, having chosen that moment to record growing irritation with an industry  hellbent on insulting their musical intelligence.

It is not Justin Bieber's fault that he has chutzpah and stage presence, but little if any talent. The recording industry should be blamed for leading the tween girl idol to believe that the right team of song writers and public relations types could make him into someone he's not.

Justin Bieber is nineteen years old and fighting the kinds of inner demons and feelings of inadequacy that ought to be reserved for older, mature performers. Hopefully,  recent off-stage antics from drugs found on the tour bus to tasteless remarks regarding Anne Frank and  the abandonment of a pet monkey in Germany do not point to more trouble on the way.

Nonetheless, if I were the young entertainer, I would  retire before the Potemkin village tower in which he lives, resolves back into  cardboard.
