Top Black Republicans Vying for Lead in Tea Party "Minstrel Show"

What I couldn't for the life of me fathom was the increasingly strident and intolerant rhetoric of the top African-Americans in the Republican party.  And then the truth struck me like the steamy odor of boiling chitterlings. Congressmen Allen West and Herman Cain are both auditioning for the same lead  part in the Tea Party's yet-to-be-announced minstrel show.  No other explanation makes sense.

Herman Cain told reporters, at a campaign event that if elected president of the United States, he would neither hire a Muslim nor appoint them to his cabinet, declaring himself "not anti-Muslim but anti-terrorist."  Not to be outdone, Cain's black Tea Party rival, freshman Congressman Allen West (R-Fla.), grabbed the spotlight by specifically attacking Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn), one of the House of Representative's two Muslim representatives.  West declared that Ellison represents "the antithesis of the principles upon which this country was established."

Cain pulled ahead of West by announcing, as he revved up the presidential campaign, that he would institute a religious test in order to work in his Administration.  But West has won this week's competition for the attention of Tea Party sexists, bigots and anarchists by sending an email to Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz declaring: "You are the most vile, unprofessional and despicable member of the US House of Representatives."

I do hope the Tea Party Movement selects one of these two men soon, for the lead role  in their upcoming minstrel show  My nerves can't take much more of this black GOP buffoonery.
