&nbsp;Breivik&nbsp;is an Islamophobic Christian fundamentalist, who&nbsp;began publishing&nbsp;his&nbsp;extremist beliefs on the&nbsp;website of Tennessee Tea Party official Pamela Geller, after her return&nbsp;from a trip to Oslo.&nbsp; Former British Ambassador Craig Murray explores the connection <a href="http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2011/07/norwegian-killer-linked-to-tea-party-and-edl/">here.</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;Before going rogue, Brievik was a member of the youth movement of&nbsp;the Norway Progress Party or <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progress_Party_(Norway)">Fremskritt<wbr>spartiet</a>.&nbsp; Over the past year, the Progress Party had created&nbsp;ties with the U.S. Tea Party, on&nbsp;ideological grounds, seeing the American group as being in the ascendancy.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Norwegian media has chronicled these growing ties on several occasions:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ol><li id="cite_note-157"><b><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progress_Party_(Norway)#cite_ref-157">^</a></b> <span class="citation news">Magnus, Gunnar (24 April 2010). <a class="external text" href="http://www.aftenposten.no/nyheter/iriks/politikk/partiene/fremskrittspartiet/article3621303.ece" rel="nofollow">"Tea Party-misjonær tente Frps landsmøte"</a> (in Norwegian). <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aftenposten" title="Aftenposten">Aftenposten</a></i><span class="printonly">. <a class="external free" href="http://www.aftenposten.no/nyheter/iriks/politikk/partiene/fremskrittspartiet/article3621303.ece" rel="nofollow">http://www.aftenposten.no/nyheter/iriks/politikk/partiene/fremskrittspartiet/article3621303.ece</a></span><span class="reference-accessdate">.
