  Greatness speaks for itself.  Or maybe it takes a  tennis star from Japan to teach us Americans the true meaning of courage.  The fact that Naomi Osaka was penalized for bowing out of a press conference only highlights the fact that in our society, a great performer cannot speak through her performance.  She must at the same time demean her talent with vapid chatter.  Is it to fill the empty spaces in our own souls?
